Man Do I hate Work Activities.

I mean , I get it . It's great for team building and employee morale. And I honestly have no alternative. But work activities always turn out to be awkward and cringe .

And in the case of gift exchanges , there's always someone who is not satisfied with their gift.

People who always ask to speak to the manager . Ugh.

There's not much I hate ... wait , who am I kidding ? I hate a lot of things . Right up there is the person who just always wants to speak to the manager or supervisor. Most of the time , it's about such trivial things .

Also , newsflash, the managers hate these people also .

I'm never going to feel bad about calling in sick .

A few months ago , I overheard a coworker saying that she hesitates to call in sick because she feels guilty about missing a day of work .

She was actually sick.

That could never be me. I feel a little sniffle and I'm staying home.

If/when I'm unable to work anymore, I will be replaced and forgotten in a heartbeat.

What kind of person actually loves their job ? Huh ?

If you're making a pivotal contribution to society ( doctors , police officers etc) , this doesn't apply to you . But to everyone else, your job is a "bullshit job." Why do you love it ?

Can't prove it but I'm convinced that hustle culture is a manipulation tactic pushed by employers .

Honestly, why would anyone willingly want to work to exhaustion. Kept away from their friends, family and hobbies ?

We've all been duped. They got us good.

You just happen to work the same place .And more often than not , that's all you have in common . They will gossip about you . They will tattle. And when you're no longer there , you will never speak again .

Oh , and don't ever get so comfortable to the point that you're telling them your personal business .

We're just out here giving the best time of our lives to jobs we hate . This is the time we're most alert , energetic and it's the best time to experience nature .

Yeah , I'm sure they'd love to hear about all the papers you filed , all the meetings you attended and all of the office politics you experienced .

I could always use the extra money but if you need someone to work extra hours , look elsewhere.

I'm also never covering anyone else's shift or doing anything outside my job description.

You know what , I'm also not seeking any promotion.

We're all in this endless loop that we can't control. We're basically obligated to work and at places we hate to survive . And the signs fit us perfectly . Pacing , swaying , aggression and depression .

And it begins in school ...
